Samantha Jane Farrell

Australian Actor, Writer, Speech & Drama Teacher

Samantha is a Gold Coast based actor, writer and Speech & Drama Teacher who has held a passion for the Arts from a young age. Born partially deaf and not fully gaining her hearing till the age of five, Samantha's love for the arts was instilled in her by her mother who taught her to speak through singing. Determined to develop both her speech, confidence and co-ordination Samantha was encouraged by her parents to take up drama, music and dance from a very young age.

Training as an actor, vocalist and filmmaker Samantha has developed her skills through The New York Film Academy, The Acting Space, The Claire Hosterman Vocal Studio as well as completing her ATCL in Speech and Drama.

Samantha has lent both her acting and voice skills to various print, commercial and film projects, including award winning short film, Anxiety and I and has worked for bigger production companies including Disney and Nickelodeon. She is the author of children's book series Abby-May and the Case of the Missing Feelings and is currently in production for her first original stage production Wanted in which she is also directing.

When not acting or writing, Samantha is a Speech and Drama Teacher training and providing her students with the skills to become a generation of confident, articulate, empathetic humans- skills that go far beyond just the stage and screen.
